Sumptuous Filipino dishes at Dekada

When I was a kid, my late grandma love to cook delectable Filipino cuisines everytime there’s an occasion at home. Adobo, menudo, sinigang na baboy, among other homegrown Pinoy dishes which made distinctive here and in other countries.

Recently, I visited Dekada, a historic Filipino restaurant which caters sumptuous meals and pays tribute to the historic events and heroes. Upon entering their branch at Fairview Terraces few stone throw away from my humble abode, I love the ambiance and their interiors which brings me back studying Philippine history.

Love the ambiance and its interior.

What I love Dekada: fab service, great set of meals to choose from and affordable. Devoured over their bagoong rice, Agustino which topped with grilled liempo, green mango slice and scrambled egg and also their Franciscano dilis rice. It’s not too salty and taste so good!

Then, drooled over their Gomburza Ox-Tail and Tripe Kare Kare and Seguela Crispy Pata.  Some of the meals that was served to us are Sikatuna Shrimp and Davao Pomelo, Rizal Lechon Manok, and Sakay Bicol Express.

If you love puto bumbong, you can order it with cheese and it’s available all-year round! Instead of ice tea, I tried their to-die for drink Edsa Milo Godzilla…I feel like a kid again. :p

If you’re from Fairview or northern part of Metro Manila, check out Dekada Fairview Terraces’ branch located at the upper ground floor, adjacent to Wellworth Department Store opens from 10 am to 9 pm every Monday to Thursday, and from 10 am to 10 pm every Friday til Sunday. They have also a branch at the second level Glorietta 3.

My verdict: 5 star for Dekada. Homey feeling, and great meals!
