Time to unwind at Tom N Toms Manila

Time to unwind at Tom N Toms Manila

Several weeks ago, I had a chance to visit UP Town Center before heading to my team meeting. Some of my blogger friends based in Cebu gave me a tip to try out Korean coffee shop Tom N Toms, if ever they will have a branch here in Manila.

Luckily, I saw a post few days back just before the grand opening of their first franchise branch here in Manila. I was intrigued over my guy's first impression of Tom N Toms during one of his trips in Bacolod last year.

In case you didn't know, Tom N Toms Coffee is an original Korean franchise coffee house established in 2001. Their first branch opened in 2001 in Seoul, South Korea in Apgujeong-dong District.

Currently, Tom N Toms does have 600 branches in 9 different countries worldwide. Their first branch in the Philippines is Bacolod City which opened in 2015.  Meanwhile, their first franchise in Cebu opened last September 8, 2016 and located at the Greenery, Mabolo.

I love their coffee, even though I'm still recovering from acid reflux. It breaks my cheat day! It's like falling in love for the first time. Drooled over their Pepperoni Pretzel which makes me crave for more. I also tried out one of the flavors of TomNCinno, Mocha Tomncinno.

For those who likes coffee and pastries, swing by Tom N Toms Coffee located at the Second Floor, Phase 2, UP Town Center, Katipunan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.

I forgot to mention that starting Sunday, March 5, 2017 Tom N Toms Coffee will be open for 24 hours.

Yummy buffet experience at Sambo Kojin SM Fairview

For months, I've been drooling over Sambo Kojin's Instagram post everyday. Living up North, there are a few buffet restaurants in the three malls situated in our area.

Last month, they opened their sixth branch located at SM City Fairview's Annex 2. I was supposed to visit during their opening day last August 24, but my trip to Cebu was scheduled the following day. My Southies friends always teased me that I should try Sambo Kojin if I visit our client, SM Southmall. Good thing there's one in SM Fairview.

Going Japanese at Go-En

Going Japanese at Go-En

The first thing that came into my mind whenever I saw photos of ramen on Instagram: famous Japanese food.

Go-En

Few weeks ago, I was invited to try out a ramen restaurant called Go-En which located near ABS-CBN. Upon entering the place, I was greeted by the one of the owners, John Goren.  The ambiance brought me to the ancient Japan. Fond of everything Japanese, I was delighted to learn how to play traditional Japanese toy called Kendama and if you visit this quaint place, you can read a wide array of Manga while waiting for your orders.

Go-En Ramen Shoppe founded in 2012 by John Geron and Marilyn Pefianco. Go-en coin used to symbolize either 5 yen or good luck in relationships.

Our group got a chance to try on different kinds of ramen such as Tantamen (one of my favorites among the meals that served during that afternoon), Karaage, Wonton Tomato, and Kara-age Kare.

FRESH MARKET

One of their specialities is create your own Shabu-Shabu Noodle Soup. I chose Hong Kong Noodle, added up with Szechuan Spicy Soup and completed the soup with Hong Kong Beef Ball, Beef Brisket Tendon, and Sea Urchin Bun which also comes with a Soy Egg. Perfect for cold weather and for those who loves noodles.

Healthy meals from Fisher Farms

Healthy meals from Fisher Farms

Holy Week is fast approaching. And for the past few weeks, I was stunned over the variety of products by Fisher Farms. Some people always says that if you want to shred some pounds, you must eat healthy meals like seafood.

20150125_204800

I love eating milkfish or bangus. When I found out that they have longanisa, nuggets and sausages made from fish meat, it tasted so good.  One of the best things about Fisher Farms' delectable products are it doesn't added preservatives and good source of protein.

One of my favorite Fisher Farms products is the Bangus Lemon Butter. It was deboned milkfish belly with tangy lemon butter sauce, you can microwave it and can served for 2-4 servings.

One of my favorites, Fisher Farms Bangus Lemon Butter.

Did you know that Fisher Farms grows its milkfish in the seawaters of Pangasinan? For more flavorful, and cleaner fish, they put it up in fish cages and fed them with high protein feeds.

Beefed up with Jollibee’s ambassador Bamboo

Beefed up with Jollibee’s ambassador Bamboo

The largest fast food chain in the Philippines, Jollibee announced The Voice Philippines coach Bamboo Mañalac as their brand ambassador.

Bamboo-Jollibee

He was known as the former frontman of Rivermaya and also with a number of best-selling albums and sold-out concerts under his belt. I saw him performed in an international music festival in 2005. He's such an awesome and a cool guy.

“People always associate musicians with being cool or astig. They think we’re unapproachable, but I’m really just a regular guy who enjoys the simple things in life,” he said.

Last January 21, an event that was held at Craft Pub and Grill, he did a jamming session with the bloggers. As they sang Halleluia, 214, Elesi and Tatsulok, indeed an amazing night.

He recently endorsed Jollibee's Garlic Beef Pepper which it's delicious and it's only P 50 pesos.

Going Korean at Woo Galbi

Going Korean at Woo Galbi

Two months ago, I met up with fellow foodie blogger, Edel San and decided to do our unplanned lunch at Woo Galbi, Shangri-La Plaza branch.

Woo Galbi is a fine dining Korean restaurant which serves the best Korean cuisine in town! What I love Woo Galbi is that the place makes me feel that I'm in Korea....the interiors, just wow! Courteous staff welcomed us upon entering the said food joint.

We ordered Dwenjang Jjigae (paste stew with seafoods and tofu), and California Roll. I thought Woo Galbi's expensive but upon checking their menu, you can eat Bibimbap for 420 pesos!
